Grey Owl

A staple here at the shop, Grey Owl is an ashy, soft-ripened cheese made with whole milk from a single herd of Saanen goats. The ash endows the cheese with a wrinkly, dark, slate-coloured edible rind that offers a pleasant, pungent aroma. The interior paste is dense, crumbly and creamy, softening at the edges. As it melts in your mouth, the smooth and silky texture of Grey Owl offers pleasing tart and lemony flavours balanced by the mellowing action of the ash. 

Enjoy with a generous spoonful of your favourite red pepper jelly for the the perfect pairing.
