Scamorza

This delicious Scamorza cheese comes to us from the The Preziosa Dairy in Italy who pride themselves on quality mozzarella products made from fresh local milk. A close cousin to mozzarella, Scamorza is a pasta filata (stretched curd) cheese. This means the fresh curd matures in its own whey, taking on a spongy consistency. It is then dipped in hot water and stretched and folded into all sorts of fun shapes, with the most common being the pear shape you see here.

With an supple ivory body, Scamorza has a smooth texture and mild buttery flavour. Perfect for grating onto your homemade pizza, you can also melt this cheese onto burgers, or slice and enjoy on your cheese board with salami and olives.
